CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre) have launched an app on Facebook to help children and young people stay safe online and to report any online communications that cause them concern. They need to download the app themselves to add it to their facebook profiles.

Campaigns like these are driven by word of mouth, so CEOP encourage as many people as possible to tell all of the children and young people in their care how they can add the app and help protect themselves online.

Things children and young people can do:

-       visit CEOP fan page – www.facebook.com/clickceop 

-       Using the Click CEOP app, you can ‘add the tab’, ‘share their badge‘ and ‘bookmark their page’ http://apps.facebook.com/clickceop
